NYS Attorney General Andrew Cuomo is coming to Binghamton On August 24, 2007, the RAGE Organization members attended a meeting at the request of Mr. Dennis McCabe, the NYS Assistant Attorney General in Charge, Binghamton Regional office. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss a future meeting with the newly elected NYS Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, and his announced outreach programs for the state. Attorney General Cuomo will be in the Binghamton area on September 6, 2007, and commencing at 6:30 p.m. at Binghamton High School he will address the audience at a Community Forum. This will be followed by six separate breakout sessions, which will provide an opportunity for those in attendance to hear from and discuss with his Executive Staff issues of concern on a variety of subjects including, Environmental Protection, Health Care, Consumer Protection, Civil Rights, Workers' Rights, and critical issues for parents and students regarding college loans. Open to the Public At this time, I am asking RAGE members, past and present to consider attending the evening meeting/program and encourage assistance with the toxic problems that we are experiencing in our area. Why go through this again??? Because we now have a new “player” whose office has the power to put “pressure” on the agencies that are responsible to protect us from toxic intrusion of any and all means. I am asking that you take an hour or so to be present and take part in the evening’s events. It is important not only to you, but the people of our community to have another state agency on our, the residents, side to resolve the problems we have faced for the last 25 years. Please help. Make your interests known. As always, please share this information with neighbors and friends that do not have email. Best regards, Alan Turnbull |
